Dashielle has recently completed her PhD Candidature in applied linguistics, exploring the education-to-employment trajectories of young people who are living as refugees in South Australia, taking an arts-based narrative approach. She has studied and worked as an arts-therapist working with migrants, refugees and the elderly. Her research interests broadly cover applied linguistics, intercultural communication, refugee studies, arts-based and narrative research methods. Dashielle is currently working as a tutor in the following courses: Language in Society (1056), Intercultural Communication (LANG 1054) and Individual and Society in Contemporary Australia (HUMS 1052).
