As a Student Counsellor Desarae offers a safe and supportive space for people to talk through any issues or challenges they may be experiencing. These could include (but are not limited to) challenging or distressing emotions, navigating friendships or relationships, trauma, family issues, adjusting to new situations, housing issues, time management and concentration issues. About me

As a Student Counsellor Desarae offers a safe and supportive space for people to talk through any issues or challenges they may be experiencing. Desarae uses different approaches and therapeutic strategies in her work drawing from Trauma Informed Care, Solution Focussed Therapy, Strengths Based Approach, Empowerment Approach, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy amongst others.
Desarae identifies as an Australian Filipino and understands the challenges that other bicultural people may experience throughout their life. In her spare time Desarae likes to spend time in the sun, walking, hiking, listening to music and watching ‘reality’ TV.
Desarae is available for appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
