Dr Diana Collett

In my role as a Student CounselIor, I enjoy helping students from all backgrounds overcome obstacles and move toward their chosen career path. I have extensive training and experience in Process Oriented Psychology, which I use in my practices as a Student Counsellor and a private therapist/ coach. I also practice Mindfulness Based Meditation and Positive Psychology. My Doctorate in Cultural Research discusses the effect of power on intercultural communication and teambuilding.   Currently I am interested in supporting students to manage their screen time and procrastination.

In my role as a Teaching and Learning Advisor in STEM programs, I help teaching staff embed inclusive teambuilding strategies into core courses in engineering, information technology and mathematics. The strategies aim to help students develop the professional communication skills to be prepared for work in the complex, uncertain and diverse contexts found in today's workplaces.
