My commitment to education in high learning is not limited to the University of South Australia community. Through the Indonesian Student Association of South Australia (PPIA-SA), the Indonesian Student Association of the University of Adelaide (through GoLive Indonesia), the Indonesian Student Association of Flinders University and the Indonesian Student Association of the University of South Australia, I ran several workshops for Indonesian higher degree research students who are studying in the Greater Adelaide area on writing skills to enhance their chance publishing their research papers in international journals. I have taught and gave public lectures in 32 different institutions across Indonesia, including the Indonesian Ministry of Finance (through LPDP and Spirit Programs), the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology or Kemenristek DIKTI (through BUDI Program), the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affair (through 500 Doctoral Program), the Indonesian Central Bank (Bank Indonesia), and the Australian Embassy located in Jakarta (through the Australian Awards Scholarships or previously called as AusAid or Australian Development Scholarships). I shared best practice in academic authorship and research code of conduct, and introduced Turnitin to various universities in Indonesia (i.e. Airlangga University and the University of Indonesia) to improve referencing skill of their research staff and to raise awareness of the problem of plagiarism in higher education in Indonesia. The responses from these universities have been very positive. Airlangga University in Surabaya, Indonesia, acknowledged the University of South Australia assistance through their Research Centre (Airlangga Research Centre). Through my advice they purchased company analysis database for their research staff and students, and Turnitin software. Airlangga University was the first university in Indonesia to introduce Turnitin to research staff and students. This month I donated four NVivo 11 Pro licenses to the University of Indonesia (worth of $ 3,180) in order to enhance their researches mainly using mixed and/or qualitative methods.
My presence as UniSA academic staff in various lectures and discussions has raise the profiles of UniSA in Universities in Indonesia. Eight different Universities have decided to send their academic staffs to UniSA to enhance their teaching and learning and research writing capabilities through our research centres (see Appendix 2). Several join papers have been published (or are in the process of publications) as the outcomes of these visits.
As a recognition to my continuous engagement, Professor Marie Wilson, UniSA Business School has awarded International Excellence Award 2015 for my continuous contributions to the Indonesian communities (either in Australia or in Indonesia).
I feel privilege to be a member of the University of South Australia community and to be able to give back to community what I have received from the University. I am proud to be able to share the quality education of the University of South Australia with universities in Indonesia.

As part of the community engagement among the Indonesian Communities in South Australia or in Australia, I have accepted to be appointed as a Chair for the Indonesian Independence Day held on August 17, 2014, as well as a Vice Chair for the Indonesian Presidential Election Day held on July 5, 2014 followed by the ballot counting session which was held in the Indonesian Consulate General in Sydney on July 9, 2014. I voluntarily assisted Angklung United performing the Largest Angklung Ensemble breaking the Guinness World Record for music show celebrating the 175th year of the Royal Agriculture and Horticulture Society of South Australia held on September 13, 2014. I have been involved in the Indonesian Peduli (Indonesia Cares) Program assisting children with cranio facial desease to come and have an operation in the the Woman and Children Hospital in Adelaide sponsored by the nedical team of the hospital. This strong presence of UniSA has contributed towards the existence of the University of South Australia among different groups of the Indonesian and the Australian-Indonesian Communities both in South Australia and in Australia.
