My research examines the social harms produced by digital labour platforms and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on the Australian gig economy, algorithmic decision-making, and labour regulation. I draw on zemiology, ultra-realism, and critical socio-legal theory to investigate how vulnerable workers, especially women and migrants, are impacted by opaque and exploitative algorithmic systems.
I am currently the project manager of a funded study on women’s experiences in the South Australian gig economy, leading participant recruitment, social media outreach, and cross-institutional coordination.

I am an interdisciplinary law and criminology academic passionate about teaching law, criminology, and socio-legal studies through innovative and student-centred approaches. I incorporate real-world case studies, AI-enhanced activities, and critical theory to engage students in understanding the law’s evolving role in society. My teaching is grounded in contemporary legal challenges, from algorithmic accountability to gig economy regulation, and is shaped by my experience working across law, criminology, and technology.
