About me
Hello! My name is Erin Lousberg, and I have been a lecturer in Clinical Health Sciences in the Biosciences team since 2016. I completed my undergraduate degree here at UniSA in the area of Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and stayed on to complete my honours and PhD in the Experimental Therapeutics Laboratory in the field of vaccine immunology.
I predominantly teach first-year foundational science courses, including Human Body 1 and Biology B, and I also serve as the course coordinator for ScienceReady, a short course designed to support new science and allied health students in their transition to university. In addition, I am the Program Director for UniSA Online Health, where I support the fully online health degrees Bachelor of Health Sciences and Bachelor of Community Health ensuring that our students receive the best possible education, regardless of location.
I am deeply passionate about teaching and about supporting students throughout their university experience. I understand that transitioning to university life can be challenging, and thus I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment where every student feels comfortable and encouraged to ask questions—no question is ever too small or too silly! My goal is to help students build the confidence they need to become independent learners and to guide and support them as they navigate their own academic journey.
