I have been employed as a Registered Nurse for fifteen years, nursing within both adult and paediatric clinical areas. I commenced teaching within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the UniSA campus in 2011. Throughout this time I have taught a variety of subjects, primarily specialising in paediatrics. Current areas of interest and professional development include research on educating parents / caregivers regarding the importance of their role in the development of children's social and emtional skills, ultimately influencing the child's mental health and wellbeing.

I have taught subjects across all tertiary year levels, primarily focusing in Paediatrics. My teaching pedagogy adopts 'Flipped Classroom' model to ultimately faciliate the development of life-long learning processes.I also utilise Pup-Ed for paediatric teaching to faciliate link between theory and practice.
