Dr. Gordon Yuan is a Senior Lecturer and Course Coordinator in Finance within UniSA Business at the University of South Australia. Before assuming these roles, Gordon garnered substantial teaching and research experience in both Australia and China.
His academic interests span a wide range of topics in finance, accounting, and taxation. His work primarily focuses on market valuation concerning financial behaviours or regulatory events, the intricacies of finance and financial markets, the nuances of taxation policies, as well as market structure, corporate governance, and the effects of ownership structure. Presently, Gordon is concentrating on international finance, tax aggressiveness, Event Study methodologies, and performance evaluation within transitional economy financial systems, notably in China. His research contributions include publications in international journals, book chapters, and presentations at numerous conferences.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Gordon is actively engaged in various industry and community initiatives. He holds full membership with CPA Australia and an academic membership with Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).
