Grant Hall is a Lecturer at the University of South Australia, teaching within the Arts and Cultural Management program. Grant initially trained as a musician and spent ten years working as a professional musician. About me
Grant Hall is a Lecturer at the University of South Australia, teaching within the Arts and Cultural Management program. Grant initially trained as a musician and spent ten years working as a professional musician. During this time he owned two successful music businesses including a music studio, both of which he sold in 2003 in order to advance his arts management career overseas. Since then, Grant has developed a portfolio career in the arts and cultural industries as an arts and cultural manager, event coordinator, consultant, business owner and educator. Grant has coordinated and consulted on hundreds of cultural events and initiatives, from small corporate VIP functions through to orchestral concert tours and large festivals. From Adelaide South Australia, Grant holds a Masters in Arts and Cultural Management, a Graduate Certificate in Art History, a Diploma of Music and is currently undertaking post-graduate research at the University of South Australia exploring the links between festivals and economic development. In 2008 Grant was awarded the Anthony Steel Fellowship for arts leadership at the Adelaide Festival Centre, and he is the recipient of multiple academic scholarships. He has lived and worked in Australia (Adelaide and Perth), Vietnam, Canada and Northern Ireland.
