About me
Hannah Edwards is an Online Course Facilitator for UniSA Clinical & Health Sciences at UniSA Online. As an OCF, Hannah's role involves leading development and delivery of high-quality online courses to undergraduate students, and coordination of the day-to-day activities of online tutoring staff.
Hannah holds Bachelor degrees in Health Science (Honours) and Medical Science, and is currently completing her PhD (Medical Science). Her research is multidisciplinary, but primarily focuses on the hormone oxytocin. Her research explores oxytocin's role in the transition to motherhood, including in induction of labour and in priming the mother-infant bond. Progressing understanding and accurate measurement the mother-infant bond itself has also become an interest of Hannah's. Alongside colleagues, she led the development of a novel assessment tool to assess mother-infant bonding via observational methods; the Recorded Interaction Task. Hannah has further experience in the measurement of oxytocin in human saliva samples, and is interested in the ongoing discussion of best practice in this area.
