About me
I am a Lecturer in Management at the University of South Australia, having joined UniSA Business in 2024. Prior to this, I served as a Lecturer at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, where I was actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
I hold a PhD in Management from University of South Australia, an MBA from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a BSc (Honours) in Operations and Technology Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. I am also a Passed Finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), United Kingdom. My academic journey has been recognised with multiple gold medals, including for best thesis and top performance in strategic management and business statistics. I graduated as the top student in my undergraduate programme, securing the gold medal for the best overall performance.
My teaching interests include operations and service management, logistics and supply chain management, and corporate sustainability. I am passionate about creating engaging learning environments that connect theory with practice. My research focuses on transforming organisational operations into sustainable operations to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with recent work exploring sustainability integration in the apparel manufacturing sector. I have published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.
Outside of academia, I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, connecting with nature, and listening to music, activities that inspire creativity and bring joy and calm to my life.
