Harrison did his bachelor of engineering at the University of Adelaide and his doctorate in advanced manufacturing at UniSA. He developed a non-laboratory industrial strategy for bioengineered innovation and completed a design of 3DPVS (3D printed vibratory scaffold) for cell culture applications. After gaining the insight that good project management can contribute greatly to both academia and industry, he worked in project management roles in the industry for quite a while aside from being a research associate in STEM.
