Hayley is a neurodivergent social worker with twelve years of direct practice experience in culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including eight years of experience as a counsellor for torture and trauma survivors from refugee backgrounds. Hayley’s practice is neuro affirming, strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.

Hayley is a neurodivergent social worker with twelve years of direct practice experience in culturally and linguistically diverse communities, including eight years of experience as a counsellor for torture and trauma survivors from refugee backgrounds. Hayley’s practice is neuro affirming, strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
Hayley aims to provide a warm and caring space for students to explore their concerns and learn holistic ways to manage stress. She uses a range of evidence-based interventions to support students dealing with a variety of issues (but not limited to) loss and grief, cultural transition, adjusting to change, study stress, mental health concerns (such as anxiety and depression), social isolation and interpersonal difficulties.
In her spare time, Hayley enjoys nature walks with her family, learning Sinhala, gardening/caring for indoor plants and spending time with her horse.
