Hilary qualified as a podiatrist in 2016 from the Univeristy of South Australia and, following several successful rural placements throughout her studies, joined the podiatry team as a new graduate podiatrist for Country Health SA (now Limestone Coast Local Health Network) in Mount Gambier and surrounds.
Hilary thoroughly enjoys her rural generalist role and developed a strong customer focus, client centred care, respect for others and enthusiasm for her job and positive health outcomes in country. Hilary has been responsible for providing clinical services to a number of outreach sites including Naracoorte, Bordertown, Kingston SE, Millicent and Keith. Hilary has also demonstrated outstanding clinical and managerial practice as the sole podiatrist for the Upper and Lower South East Region. Furthermore became the clinical coordinator for her department in 2019-2020. She developed and conducted an in-service training package for ward staff as part of the Nursing Transition to Professional Practice Program which aims to educate and refinement of referrals from the hospital. Hilary has also worked closely with clients, carers and other members of the Allied Health Team to produce a journey board to facilitate a positive clients journey during appointments. Recently, two graduates joined the podiatry team and Hilary has demonstrated effective leadership potential and positive influence through developing a new graduate development plan. Hilary continues to support student placement and new graduates that join the Limestone Coast Local Health Network.
Hilary in 2021 has commenced consulting privately as a Podiatrist and has joined Your Podiatrist in the Limestone Coast and Western Victoria.
