I am an applied linguist who employs sociolinguistic and cultural perspective to critically examine, analyse, understand, and interpret language, culture, and society. My research draws from the epistemologies of the Global South, African epistemologies, and decolonial theories.
My current research encompasses two broad strands of sociolinguistics:
