About me
Doctor of Philosophy University of South Australia
Bachelor of Interior Architecture with Honours University of South Australia
My doctoral research focused on the potential role of disruptive creative devices, gathered under the rubric of 'noise', in the design of interior architectural spaces. The research investigated how such devices - incorporating sonic, visual, and spatial disruptions - were utilised in 20th-century art and sound experiments, and speculated on the ways by which these may be introduced into interior design practice and theory in order to diversify and enhance physical and cognitive experiences of built space.
