Jacqueline is a Clinical Psychologist and Teaching Academic, who has worked with children, young people and adults in the non-for-profit and private sector, within child protection and university systems, for the last 10 years.

Jacqueline is a Clinical Psychologist and Teaching Academic, who has worked with children, young people and adults in the non-for-profit and private sector, within child protection and university systems, for the last 10 years.
Jacqueline has been involved in the development and delivery of workforce development training at the Australian Centre for Child Protection at the University of South Australia since May 2022, including the Professional Certificate in Childhood Trauma. Jacqueline is a Course Coordinator and teaching academic for courses in the Graduate Certificate in Childhood Trauma delivered through University Online at UniSA.
Jacqueline is currently involved in research projects through the Australian Centre for Child Protection that are focused on experiences of disclosures of child sexual abuse and understanding and responding to Harmful Sexual Behaviour. Jacqueline is currently a member of the Australian Centre for Child Protection Advisory Board having been voted as the inaugural ACCP staff representative for 2023-2024.
Jacqueline has worked extensively providing assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and young people who have experienced trauma from abuse. Jacqueline’s work with children and young people has primarily involved children who have been bought into the child protection system and those who have experience childhood sexual abuse. Jacqueline has further experience providing supervision to students and provisional psychologists and has experience managing clinical teams and services in organisations providing treatment in response to trauma from abuse.

This research project will investigate and compare the trajectories of disclosure of two groups of victims and survivors of child sexual abuse – people over and under 30 years of age with a disclosure experience between 2013 and 2022. These groups differentiate adults that disclosed abuse during or after the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The aim of this project is to understand barriers and facilitators for disclosure and the role of the Royal Commission in this dynamic. This project is centred on survivors’ wellbeing, with a multidisciplinary and nation-wide lens.
Jacqueline is a member of the ACCP Short Course Development Team who were awarded the JUS Champion Award in the ‘Team’ category at the 2022 JUS Awards.
