I completed my PhD in wine science as a submission through publication in 2016; with 3 papers published in peer reviewed journals. During my PhD, I designed and optimised methods for analysing aroma compounds in white wine and chemically defined grape juice media fermented with 1500 clone Saccharomyces cerevisiae overexpression library. My expertise in wine science is mainly in metabolomics; analytical chemistry and microbiology/molecular biology. I also have a broad science background from completing a Bachelor of Science with majors in chemistry and genetics and a minor in biochemistry.

I have a lot of teaching experience (online and face-to-face) and have been working at UniSA since 2009 in various forms; tutoring, lecturing and practical laboratory supervision, online course coordination and online course facilitation. I mainly teach within STEM as well as enabling education courses. I really enjoy teaching and look forward to helping students in each course pursue their career goals.
