Dr. James Murray is a sessional academic within the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (honours) program, and Clinical Supervisor at the University of South Australia Exercise Physiology Clinic.
James completed his PhD in 2023, with his reserach exploring the impact of aerobic exercise on novel cardiovascular imaging measures in women with breast cancer receiving cardiotoxic chemotherapy, and women at risk of developing cardiovascular disease. James's work also focused ways exercise participation can be enhanced during chemotherapy for breast cancer, and he now has a keen interest in the possible cardiovascular benefits of prehabilitation prior to the commencement of anti-cancer therapies.

James has been teaching into the Bachelor of Exercise Science and Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology programs at the University of South Australia since 2021. Additionally, James has authored several peer-reviewed publications (with over 60 citations), presented at national and international conferences, and is involved in the supervision of two honours students within the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology Degree.
