Dr Jane Burdett

Dr Jane Burdett is a lecturer in Management at the UniSA Business School and teaches in Human Resource management programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Currently she is an Academic Integrity Officer for the School of Management and in 2015 held the position of Program Director: UniSA Business School’s Honours Program.

Dr Burdett completed her Doctorate of Education at Flinders University after gaining a Masters in Education at Deakin University.

Dr Jane Burdett is a lecturer in Management at the UniSA Business School and teaches in Human Resource management programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Currently she is an Academic Integrity Officer for the School of Management and in 2015 held the position of Program Director: UniSA Business School’s Honours Program.

Her research focuses on student experiences in industry placements and people development through workplace mentoring. Previous research has included quality in international education in Australian universities, international student experiences  and engagement, student perceptions of group work, diversity in groups, the impact of technology on learning environments.

Dr Burdett has been recognised by the following awards - Outstanding Reviewer: Emerald Group Publishing, UniSA Vice Chancellor Award for Community Service (Knowledge Application) and UniSA Vice Chancellor Awards for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr Burdett has consulted to industry and the secondary education sector and brings extensive educational experience to the UniSA Business School.  Her teaching role includes both onshore and offshore programs in Hong Kong. She has engaged local and national industry through her relationship with the Australian Institute of Training and Development, the Australian Institute of Management (SA) and the Australian Human Resources Insititue. In 2015, Dr Burdett was an invited panelist debating the AITD’s topic ‘Online Learning - opportunities or threats'.
