Hello and welcome to my home page. I am Dr Joanne Harmon (RN) and I have a balanced research and teaching workload within Nursing here at the UniSA Clinical & Health Sciences.
My research focuses on improving pain management for the older person and promotion of active, healthy ageing. Importantly from partnership with industry and multidisciplinary teams I aim to develop user informed research as well as contribute to national policy and transalantic guidelines. My other research interests are focused on qualitative research, nurse education, and leadership.
I have been teaching undergraduate students across the nursing program to ensure they are set up for success when in the front line of clinical practice. I have also been course coordinating very large teaching teams and groups of students across three campuses over this seven-year period. I have been teaching very large courses across the program and this has provided me with the opportunity to work with students to ensure they are work ready.
