John Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Economics. His research interests include modelling special interest group behaviour, microeconomic models of corruption, and economic history.
John joined the University of South Australia in 2004 after completing his PhD in Economics at the University of Adelaide. He has numerous journal publications, is the holder of a current ARC LInkage Grant examining long run outcomes in Colonial Tasmania, and has published three books examining sports economics. John previously has served as the Honorary Treasurer of the Economic Society of Australia (SA) and Secretary and member of the Executive of the Economic History Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is currently an Associate Director for the Centre for Markets, Values and Inclusion at the University of South Australia and is a research affiliate of the Centre for Economic History at ANU.
