About me
My name is Judith Darragh. I completed a degree in Psychology, Honours in Disability, Master of Social Work and my PhD at Flinders University where I also worked for several years with students and academic staff. My PhD was entitled: Relationships in Cyberspace: experiences of adults living with intellectual disability, accessing internet-based social media to explore sexuality and develop relationships. I have a passion for advocating for individuals living with intellectual disability. I am an associate member of Our Voice SA (Purple Orange) and have the privilege of being a Board member of Our Voice SA. I believe in the importance of social justice, advocacy, and innovation for individuals living with intellectual disability to acquire the tools and resilience to work towards self-management, self-determination, positive life changes, having socially valued roles and autonomy.
I also volunteer for my local Country Fire Service (CFS), for over 20 years, as I believe in giving back to my community.
