Currently, he is working on the development of electrochromic materials for colour changing adaptive camouflage devices in collaboration with Defence Science and Technology Group, a defence industry prime and an SME.

Kamil joined UniSA in 2009 where he worked in the Cooperative Research Centre for Advanced Automotive Technology (AutoCRC); initially on the Electrochromic Mirrors project which then became the Plastic Mirror project. The Plastic Mirrors project was conducted in cooperation with SMR – Technologies (currently Motherson Innovations) and resulted with commercialised product produced by the SMR pilot production facility in Lonsdale, SA with over 3,000,000 parts sold till present for Ford F250 trucks.

Dr Zuber also provided a contribution to several other projects including Automatic Contrast Control for Augmented Reality Devices, Development of WiFi Controlled Heliostats (concentrated solar thermal systems) and Heat Reflective Coatings for Automotive Glazing. Recently he’s been also involved in commissioning of the Defence and Space Industry 4.0 TestLab at UniSA, Mawson Lakes which is part of a national network focused on working with SMEs on advanced manufacturing.

Dr Zuber was granted his PhD from the Mawson Institute, UniSA in 2015 and he was awarded the Ian Wark Research Medal for the most outstanding thesis. Earlier in his career, he has obtained the degree of Master of Science in Technical Physics with specialisation in Solid State Physics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland in 2008. His engineering qualification obtained at AGH followed by engineering experience has been accredited by Engineers Australia by granting qualification of Chartered Professional Engineer. Currently, Dr Zuber is undertaking the Diploma of Project Management course provided by Engineering Education Australia.
