Katie Maher is a Lecturer in HaSS Education with UniSA Education Futures. She is a member of the pedagogies for justice research group and currently engaged in research and writing on culturally responsive pedagogies. She is passionate about creative arts based approaches to teaching and research and is committed to learning in relation with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Her research and teaching background spans Australian and Asian cultural studies, Aboriginal Studies, literary and creative arts, critical geography and history. Katie has a background in education and community development work in China and South East Asia.
