Her research explores emerging challenges to communicative expertise in professional and organisational practice, especially in contexts of promotion and persuasion that lie at the intersections of professional practice and digital media. She is a member of the International Applied Linguistics Research Network on professional mobility and migration, an elected member of the Justice and Society Academic Unit Board, and is regularly invited as a reviewer for a wide range of international publishers and journals. Her teaching encompasses applied linguistics, intercultural communication, and core courses in the liberal arts, in which the quality of her teaching has been recognised with multiple awards and nominations.
