Ms Kirsty Rawlings

Hello and welcome to my homepage. I am an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Registered Teacher, and I am currently a Lecturer in Clinical Exercise Physiology at UniSA.

I have always had an interest in the physiology of exercise and how this can improve performance, health and function. 

I have a varied background, having worked as an AEP in musculoskeletal and occupational rehabilitation, chronic disease management (specialising in diabetes and mental health) and clinical education in private, government, university and community health settings. 

Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work at executive level in industry research, health planning and policy, innovation and service design within primary health care settings, and most recently within a peak body establishing and heading up a social enterprise for older people 'The Plug-in' that provides them with an active role in product, service and program design. 

My current roles include educating and helping develop new Exercise Physiologists here at UniSA, and advancing the professions of Exercise Physiologists, Exercise Scientists and Sport Scientists as President of Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
