Dr Laura Falkenberg is a marine biologist and ecologist. Laura is interested in understanding the impacts human activities are having on coastal marine organisms, the ecosystems they form, and services provided to human societies. Human impacts of particular focus include ocean acidification and warming, nutrient and chemical addition, and microplastic pollution. Laura has researched these topics in a range of settings including Sweden, Norway, Hong Kong, and Adelaide. Laura is also interested in how we do and share science, having published on topics such as curriculum development, citizen science, publishing, and peer review.
