Lemuel Pelentsov is the Program Director for the Bachelor of Nursing and Professorial Lead within Clinical & Health Sciences at the University of South Australia. About me
Lemuel Pelentsov is the Program Director for the Bachelor of Nursing and Professorial Lead within Clinical & Health Sciences at the University of South Australia. As Program Director for the Bachelor of Nursing, Lemuel is responsible for the engagement of teaching and related activities within the program. Lemual oversees the quality delivery of its courses, the maintenance of curriculum integrity, and provides leadership and support to academic staff and teaching teams to ensure students have the best quality teaching and learning experience.
In 2010, Lemuel joined the University of South Australia to pursue a career in academe having spent many years working as a senior emergency nurse at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and abroad.
Lemuel's PhD investigated the supportive care needs of parents caring for children with rare diseases, and developed the Parental Needs Scale for Rare Diseases (PNS-RD), which is since being used by researchers internationally to identify needs of families living with chronic conditions and to evaluate the quality of health services provision. Despite the business of his Director and Professorial Lead portfolios, Lemuel contiues to prioritise collaborative research into support needs of individuals and families at a local, national and international level. Lemuel is an experienced higher degrees by research supervisor of both Master and PhD students.
