Lisa is completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law at the University of South Australia. Her doctoral research examines the legitimacy of the early guilty plea in the resolution of criminal matters, including its implications for principles of criminal procedure and sentencing.

Lisa teaches Criminal Law and Procedure, Constitutional Law, Evidence, and Torts in the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree.
Lisa is also the Course Coordinator for several Bachelor of Criminal Justice courses, including: Cybercrime and Digital Evidence; Psychology of Investigative and Legal Processes; Crime, Gender and Sexuality; Youth Justice; Corrections: Offender Rehabilitation and Desistance; Policing Investigations and Intelligence; Crime Prevention; and Victimology.
