Lyn Rowberry is a Doctoral Candidate at the School of Education at The University of South Australia. Her PhD is towards critical global literacies: building social participation and citizenship in a superdiverse world. This project explores diversity and social justice and aims to investigate how transnational networks and contacts focusing on social justice, can contribute to student belonging, engagement, and literacy, thereby promoting a more inclusive schooling environment and curriculum. Building on current research on culturally responsive pedagogies, her research examines the incorporation into classrooms of transnationally circulating texts emerging from community building and human rights promotion around the globe.

About me
Lyn Rowberry is a Doctoral Candidate at the School of Education at The University of South Australia. Her PhD is towards critical global literacies: building social participation and citizenship in a superdiverse world. Lyn has 20 years’ experience in teaching tertiary/middle/secondary schooling and youth engagement projects. For the past 15 years Lyn has worked as a leader, coordinator, assistant principal and deputy principal. She has worked at schools that range from low to high socio-economic demographics within independent, private and public schools and has extensive experience in a variety of school-based pedagogies.
