Lynda began her Nursing career in 2002, working as an Enrolled Nurse in the areas of Medical and Surgical Nursing, Oncology and Palliative Care. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Diploma of Mental Health Nursing with UniSA in 2006 and 2008. She has worked in public and NGO organisations that offer support to those members of the South Australian community, requiring acute mental health care.
Primary areas of interest include working with individuals who have experienced psychosis, suicidal thoughts and actions, as well as safe medicines use in quality nursing practice. Primary areas of interest include working with individuals who have experienced psychosis, suicidal thoughts and actions, as well as safe medicines use in quality nursing practice. She is driven to facilitate the development of a person- centred, recovery focused health workforce that is sensitive to the needs of people experiencing mental health crisis, as well as their families and communities of support. Professional roles have included clinical care and leadership, team and resource management as well as overseeing the development and implementation of medication safety guidelines and practices.
