Malcolm has been involved in Humanities Education in South Australia since 1976, teaching in a range of Department for Education schools as a humanities teacher and coordinator (1976-2014), working as the Humanities Manager in the Department for Education (2008-201 and 2015-2023) and now as a teaching Academic at UniSA since 2016.

About me

Following working as a part-time casual academic at Flinders Univerity from 2012-2015, Malcolm was appointed as a Teaching Academic at UniSA in 2016. He is currently a Teaching Academic in Humanities Education in Education Futures, coordinating and teaching the Primary Years HaSS Specialism at the Magill Campus and the Post Graduate Masters Secondary HaSS courses at the Mawson Lakes Campus.
Malcolm has supported Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) teachers for many years through his leadership of professional teacher associations related to HaSS education,i.e., geography teachers associations at state and national level and his current leadership of HaSS Association Austrlaia (HAA).
Malcolm is committed to the quality and growth of humanities education in our schools and universities and through his currculum work, professional learning activities and resource development is considered a leader in the area of humanities education.
