About me
I am the lecturer, coordinator, and teacher of two courses at the University of South Australia (UniSA) since 2012. The ‘Tertiary Learning Strategies’ which is an online introductory course recommended to first year undergraduate students provided by UniSA to Open University Australia (OUA). Plus, the ‘Applied Computer Practices' which is an introductory information and communication technology course and part of the foundation studies program at UniSA College. Additionally, I work on developing and coordinating courses for the Diploma and the Unistart pathway programs at UniSA Online.
Prior to taking my position at UniSA, I worked in different areas and my previous work history includes 18 years in small business management and consultancy in tax accounting.
During the past few years, I have developed a sound understanding of the needs of students undertaking enabling courses and transitioning to university studies. I experienced teaching a wide range of students from different backgrounds, levels of education, ages, cultures, and socio-economic status. I am passionate about motivating students, providing them with a supportive environment and encouraging them to embark on their tertiary education journey.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Economics Sciences, a Master of Management, and a Graduate Diploma in Education Studies-Digital Learning. My current research interests focus on online teaching and learning in the context of enabling programs, pathways to tertiary levels, and first-year undergraduate students.
