Mei French is an educational & applied linguist whose research focusses on complex and purposeful multilingual practices of high school students and teachers, and the implications for pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and education policy. She is a specialist in EALD education in Australian secondary schools and higher education where she teaches students of diverse linguistic, cultural and educational backgrounds. Her work includes development of curriculum, assessment, teaching and learning resources, and teacher education. She specialises in curriculum and pedagogies which build on students’ multilingual repertoires with strong connections to language learning and the broader curriculum.
