Negin is an Associate Professor in UniSA College and Education Futures at the University of South Australia. She holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on online learning and a Masters in Educational Technology. With over 15 years of working in higher education institutions in Canada and Australia, Negin has extensive experience in managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative educational technology in higher education and in designing fully online, blended, and open courses. She also teaches a post graduate course on learning analytics and has previously co-designed and co-taught the award-winning Coursera MOOC titled Learning to Teach Online at UNSW Australia and has recently co-designed and co-taught the EdX MOOC titled Pivoting to Online Teaching: Research and Practitioner Perspectives.
Negin’s current research projects, interests, and HDR supervision focus on learning analytics to inform pedagogical change, video-based learning, video analytics, blended, flipped, and online learning, student learning, and academic staff development. Negin is also a reviewer for a number of educational journals and conferences and is a member of C3L - Centre for Change and Complexity of Learning - researching human and artificial cognition and knowledge processes.
