My Role
As manager of Student Lifecycle Systems, I am responsible for the delivery of high quality systems that enhance student experience and facilitate the support of business processes within the University relating to the student lifecycle.
My key responsibilies include:
- Collaborating with business sponsors across the University to develop and implement system solutions in response to business requirements, changes in policy, external changes or the introduction of new technologies
- Providing guidance and management support to a highly skilled team of IT professionals
- Ensuring team priorities are aligned with the overall IT and University strategic plans
- Contributing to the IT strategic plan and its implementation
- Ensuring the University’s student systems are of high standard, easy to use and highly available
- Keeping up to date with changes in the external environment (vendor-related, technology-related, legislative, etc)
Team Responsibilities
The Student Lifecycle Systems team is responsible for maintaining, developing and enhancing systems to support key business processes and activities across the full student lifecycle within the University.
The team supports a diverse range of systems and functions spanning the course of the student academic lifecycle, covering needs for prospective students through to alumni, including:
- Support, maintenance and enchancements to key student sytems such as myEnrolment (student enrolment portal), myGraduation (student graduation portal) and myScholarship (student scholarships portal)
- Support of student administration-related functions within the University via the Student Adminstration System (Medici)
- Supporting student recruitment and engagement activities, and capturing key interactions relating to these via the UniSA Enterprise CRM Systems
- Supporting alumni engagement, events and administration via Raisers Edge (Alumni system) and Netcommunity (Alumni CRM)
- Supporting the administration and management of Student ID cards via the Student ID cards system
- Support of student access to key IT services via the Student Lifecycle Process
