About me

I have broad commercial and general management experience in large and complex organisations in Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand across a broad range of industries.

Over the past 24 years I have been involved in numerous change management initiatives including implementations of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, the re-engineering of organisation-wide systems and processes and the alignment of policies, organisational capabilities and structures.
I have had broad commercial experience working in Australia, United Kingdom (4 years) and New Zealand. Prior to joining UniSA I was General Manager: Accounting and Administration for the Home and Hardware Products Division (Australia and NZ) of http://www.hills.com.au Hills Industries Limited . This Division included international brands such as Hills, Bailey and Oldfields (ladders), Kelso (wheelbarrows) and Triton (woodworking equipment). Responsibilities as General Manger: Accounting and Administration included: Financial Analysis, Decision Support, Business Intelligence and Reporting; Developing and Leading the Annual Budgeting Process; Human Resources Function - including industrial relations, performance management and salary packaging; Strategic Planning - Developing, Facilitating and Executing Strategic Planning for the Division; Information Systems and Technology; Acquisition Due Diligence; and Product Price and Margin Management Support.
Previous workplace experience also includes: Schenker UK, London - Financial Controller; Ernst and Young, London - Audit Supervisor; and Ernst and Young, Adelaide - Audit Senior.
