Reza Bradrania is a Senior Lecturer of Finance and member of The Centre for Markets, Values and Inclusion (CMVI) at the University of South Australia Business School. About me

He is the co-founder of the trading lab at UniSA Business School, and served in various committees at UniSA such as the Business School Research Committee and Resource Committee of the Centre of Applied Finance and Economics. Reza’s research is in the area of empirical asset pricing and investment. His current interests include utilising machine learning in investment, and implications of gambling in the stock market. His articles have appeared in premier international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and featured in the media. Reza is the recipient of several research grants from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMIA) in UK, Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) and Centre for International Finance and Regulations (CIFR).
Reza's primary teaching areas are in Investments and Portfolio Management, and Applied Research in Finance. In his classes, students are engaged in industry driven issues, and apply theories to real world applications. He has been recognised and continuously awarded for excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels every semester since inception.
Prior to joining UniSA, Reza was a lecturer and researcher at the University of Sydney. He also worked for several years as an Associate Director, Director and Senior Consultant in Investment Banking, Private Equity and Management Consulting. Earlier in his career, he co-founded, led and managed a start-up business sold off three years after the inception.
Reza brings more than fifteen years of academic and industry experience to the UniSA Business School, and holds PhD in Finance from the University of Sydney and an MSc in Finance and Investment from the University of Durham in the UK.
