About me
Rhys is an Online Course Facilitator teaching in the areas of law and criminal justice. In this role, he has responsibility for leading the development and delivery of online teaching for UniSA Online students.
Rhys has strong research interests in legal theory and social theory (in particular, new materialism(s) and posthumanism), and his research explores the relationship between law, power, and social change; prefigurative politics; law and the environment; and critical pedagogies.
Prior to working at UniSA Online, Rhys was a Lecturer in Law at Flinders University and he has extensive experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This has included developing and delivering courses on legal theory, public law, property law, foundational legal skills, professional ethics, and First Nations peoples and the law. He has experience in online learning and has been involved with distance education and online students since 2016. This has provided him with a strong understanding of the unique needs of students who are learning exclusively online and the pedagogical approaches that work best in this context.
