About me
Dr Salwa Mohd Ishak is a Senior Lecturer, and Program Director for Project Management programs at the UniSA STEM, University of South Australia. She received a PhD degree in Built Environment (Construction Project Management) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Australia, an MSc in Construction Management from the University of Reading (UoR) UK and a BSc. Hons from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Before joining UniSA STEM in 2020, she was a Lecturer in Construction and Project Management at Universiti Sains Malaysia from 2014, a Research Assistant and a Tutor at UNSW (2011-2014). Before pursuing PhD, Salwa worked in the construction industry and has several years of experience overseeing all phases of million-dollar construction projects, including infrastructure, commercial and residential. Although Salwa has a solid construction and project management background, her principal research and area of interest has been building information modelling (BIM) and digital technology adoption in construction. She is also deeply interested in the intersection of unconventional paradigms in project management and the social sides of technology in practice, such as agile and sustainability, project social networks, innovation diffusion, technology adoption, project information management systems, and human-computer interaction.
