My work thus far has been guided by a broad question: What do effective learning networks look like, and how can they be facilitated? By ‘the effectiveness of the network’ I refer to network’s capacity to foster individual or group-level learning outcomes of interest, ie. learning gain, perceived learning, quality of the shared discourse, formation of group identity or a community, development of an innovative idea in a competition, etc.

About me
Doctor of Philosophy University of South Australia
Master of Arts (Educational Sociology) in Lifelong Learning The Danish School of Education, Aarhus University
I have recently joined the Centre for Change and Complexity in Learning at the UniSA after a postdoctoral position with the Institute for Applied Learning Science and Educational Technology, at the National University of Singapore. Prior to receiving my doctoral degree, I had ten years experience teaching and implementing non-formal educational projects in the tertiary and adult education sectors. During this time I also spent 3.5 years working in a non-formal adult education system at a Scandinavian folk high school. I received my PhD in Learning Analytics at the University of South Australia; my Masters in Lifelong Learning is from a joint program by Aarhus University (Denmark), Deusto University (Spain), and the Institute of Education, London (the UK).
