Shae Maple (G.Dip.MedSon, B.MedRad) is a sonographer with over 15 years of clinical practice and an ultrasound researcher.
Currently she is undertaking a Masters by Research through the Allied Health and Human Performance at the University of South Australia. Her research focuses on exploring different ways to detect endometriosis using ultrasound to improve diagnosis. She also works as a sessional examiner and tutor within the Medical Sonography program at The University of South Australia.

About me
Shae Maple (G.Dip.MedSon, B.MedRad) is a sonographer with over 15 years of clinical practice and an ultrasound researcher.

Her research focuses on exploring different ways to detect endometriosis using ultrasound to improve diagnosis. She also works as a sessional examiner and tutor within the Medical Sonography program at The University of South Australia.
Alongside her research, Shae also works clinically within private practice and hospital settings as both a radiographer and sonographer. She has broad skills in general sonography with a keen interest in advanced gynaecological sonography. She is passionate about women’s health ultrasound and believes ultrasound education is just as much about scanning ability as well as patient care and understanding.

Shae is a member of The Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR), The Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM), Australian Sonographers Association (ASA), the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and The International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ISUOG).
