About me

I joined UniSA in 2014 as the Chair of Cancer Biology and a Research Professor of Cell Biology.

After completing a PhD from University of Adelaide and postdoctoral training at University of Queensland, I held research scientist positions at CSIRO (Geelong), RIKEN (Tsukuba, Japan), and the Cancer Institute (Tokyo, Japan), before returning to Adelaide to start a research program at the Hanson Centre for Cancer Research at IMVS (that later became SA Pathology). In 2009, with Angel Lopez, I co-founded the Centre for Cancer Biology (CCB), which I co-directed for around 11 years.
