Sharon Rance is the Clinical Program Coordinator and Continuity of Care Experience Coordinator for the midwifery program at UniSA. She has been a midwife since 2006 and has been teaching midwifery since 2009. She teaches mainly into the clinical courses and enjoys helping students to develop critical thinking skills which enable them to link their theoretical learning to the clinical application.

NMBA Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) for internationally qualified midwives pilot: Participated as an examiner in the pilot to evaluate the OSCE to determine whether it is an appropriate and relevant outcomes-based assessment, October 2019.
SCHOLARSHIP: Recipient of an Australian College of Midwives scholarship to attend the International Confederation of Midwives 31st Triennial Conference, Toronto, Canada.
PRIMARY REVIEWER: Undertook a primary review for the Remote Primary Health Care Manuals Project in 2016. Reviewed two guidelines related to newborn care.
WORKSHOPS: 2013 – Facilitated a series of Clinical Supervision Workshops run by Health Workforce Australia and ClinEdSA
INTER-PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOP: 2012 – Developed and facilitated an inter-professional obstetric workshop with SA Ambulance Service
