I am Shwikar Othman an early career researcher, currently, I am working as an academic researcher at UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences. Previously, I enjoyed my role as an academic researcher at Joanna Briggs Institute, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at University of Adelaide, South Australia. Since 2010, I have worked in both clinical and academic settings as an academic researcher and lecturer at Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, Egypt.

I am passionate about studying, teaching and conducting research, which inspired me to pursue and undertake a PhD overseas. I won four years fully funded scholarship to undertake my PhD at UniSA. My PhD focused on 'Healthy eating education program for midwives to investigate and explore their knowledge and level of confidence to support pregnant women to eat healthily: A mixed methods study. Generally, I am interested in mixed methods study, data integration and systematic reviews.
