My interests are centered around how the arts can be used for sharing and telling stories. I'm also interested in the benefits of creativity for children's sense of well-being and how this can be supported through the combination of art forms such as visual art, media arts and music. I have taught in primary, secondary and tertiary education settings, commencing my teaching career as an Aboriginal Education Teacher before going on to coordinate Arts based programs working with Aboriginal children and families across a number of primary and secondary schools. In addition to teaching arts education at UniSA I have experince working as an educator for Nature Play SA. I am an artist, trained in visual arts and multimedia, with experience in music production, performance and community arts. I also have experience in schools as an Artist in Residence having run a creative arts business, which offered in school workshops with a focus on song writing and media arts.
