I joined the University in May 2011 on a 4-month contract, initially working 2 days a week, to support the 2 full time Travel Administrators based at Mawson Lakes campus who were looking after all ITEE travel requirements. In August that year, the team expanded and moved to the city location to roll out our services to the rest of the University, and I became a full-time member of the Travel Team.
During my time at the University I have worked in secondments in the Business School, successfully managing a study tour to London and Italy for the Law School, and as an Exams and Results Officer for Student Academic Services (SAS) where I learnt a great deal about the services we offer our students from when they enrol through to when they graduate. I again worked with my colleagues in SAS when asked to join the Student Hardship Fund in 2020 when the pandemic began. The University offered $10m to support our vulnerable students who were struggling and some who had just arrived in Adelaide were struggling alone.
