About me
I have been teaching at UniSA since 2015 across a variety of topics in Education Futures and Justice and Society at UniSA. My PhD, which I was awarded in 2018, was focussed on the rebuilding of Post-Conflict States, with a particular focus on African States. Topics I have a particular interest include Politics, International Relations, Critical Thinking and Sociology. My teaching is motivated by a belief that as we find ourselves in a time of ‘information-overload’ through social and traditional media, many people are conversely becoming less informed of political and social issues both within and beyond their immediate environment. I believe that gaining a better insight into society and how it works, provides a pathway to understanding issues that permeate our lives, and the lives of others. Education in this area leads to more informed individuals, groups and states, which in turn, can lead to a more informed, peaceful world.
