Dr. Son has dedicated her academic career to event management, visitor experiences, and event impacts. She has conducted extensive research projects on both local and international festivals and sports events, utilizing a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Her research output contributes valuable insights for governments and industries, enabling them to leverage events to achieve diverse objectives and develop strategies for successful and sustainable outcomes. Currently, her research focuses on the strategic utilization of events for community development, destination management, corporate marketing, public diplomacy, well-being, and placemaking.
Dr. Son's research findings have been published in renowned journals in the field of Tourism and Event Management, such as 'Tourism Management' and 'Event Management'.
